CW Enerji supports the cultural heritage of oil wrestling

• The award ceremony of the CW Enerji Türkiye Oil Wrestling League was held. During the ceremony, CW Enerji Chairman of the Board, Tarık Sarvan, stated: “Oil wrestling is not just a sport but also a cultural heritage that our nation has preserved for centuries. We are greatly honored to contribute to the preservation of this heritage and its transmission to future generations.” 

The award ceremony of the CW Enerji Türkiye Oil Wrestling League for the year 2024 was held. During the ceremony, wrestlers who achieved top positions in the 2024 season received their awards.

The award ceremony, held at a hotel in Istanbul, was attended by the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation, Bilal Erdoğan, the President of the Turkish Traditional Wrestling Federation (TGGF), İbrahim Türkiş, the Chairman of the Board of CW Enerji, Tarık Sarvan, as well as several mayors of cities and districts represented in the league.

During the award ceremony, CW Enerji Chairman of the Board, Tarık Sarvan, expressed his joy at being the main sponsor of the Türkiye Oil Wrestling League.

Sarvan emphasized that they are committed to passing on our traditional sport, wrestling, as a cultural heritage to future generations, saying: “Oil wrestling is not just a sport but also a cultural heritage that our nation has preserved for centuries. As CW Enerji, we are greatly honored to contribute to the preservation of this heritage and its transmission to future generations. As the main sponsor of the CW Enerji Türkiye Oil Wrestling League, we once again demonstrate our dedication to traditional sports and our sense of responsibility in this field.”

Sarvan emphasized that they have made it their mission to support our traditional sport, which has a very long history. He highlighted that they are proud and delighted to be the main sponsor of the league.

Sarvan stated that they always stand by sports and athletes, saying: “In addition to our work in the field of sustainable energy, we place great importance on cultural and social responsibility. In this context, we will continue to do our utmost to elevate oil wrestling to a higher level. We will maintain our efforts to make this sport more widely known and to give it the value it deserves. I would like to thank everyone who takes steps to carry this tradition into the future.” After the speeches, awards were presented to the wrestlers who finished the league in top positions. Additionally, plaques were given to individuals and institutions that contributed to the league.
