CW Enerji in the Top 500 Industrial Enterprises List

CW Enerji became Türkiye's 413th largest industrial enterprise in 2017.

CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, a solar panel manufacturer operating in the Organised Industrial Zone in Antalya, became the 413th largest industrial enterprise in Türkiye in the ‘Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises-2017’ survey, which has been conducted by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry(ISO) since 1968 and constitutes the most valuable data for the sector.

The 2017 results of the ‘Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises’ ISO 500 ranking, conducted by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and Commerce to identify the largest industrial enterprises in Türkiye, were announced. In the ISO 500 survey, which covers all these data such as net sales, sales from production, exports (in dollars), profit and loss before tax, profit and loss before interest, depreciation and tax, total assets and liabilities, average annual number of employees, R&D expenditures and factor income payments used in the calculation of gross value added, CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, a solar panel manufacturer affiliated to the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, operating in the Organised Industrial Zone in Antalya, achieved 382. 399.793 TL net sales from production in 2017 and ranked 413th.

While 5 companies registered to Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place in the 2017 ISO 500 list, CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Anonim Şirketi ranked 3rd in the city ranking with 418.361.355 TL in the net sales category and 382.399.793 TL in the net sales from production category.

In the 2017 ISO 500 list, where there are two companies selling photovoltaic panels, CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Anonim Şirketi is the only company that produces and sells domestic panels, and it ranked higher than the other company that entered the ISO 500 list in its sector in the categories of net sales from production and net sales.

‘25 MILLION USD EXPORT TARGET’

In 2017, CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Anonim Şirketi, which channelled the majority of its 438 MW production capacity to the domestic market, aims to export 25 million USD in 2018 projection with its new factory investments of 125 million TL with a production capacity of 1 GW / year solar panel 500 MW / year cell.

CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Anonim Şirketi, which has one of the largest production capacities in Europe beyond Türkiye in the photovoltaic sector, took its place for the first time in Türkiye's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises’ ISO 500this year.

Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directorsof CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Anonim Şirketi , said in his statement: ‘We are proud to be included in the list of Türkiye's largest industrial enterprises based on net production sales in 2017. The fact that our company is on this list is a proud result for both us and Antalya. Tarık Sarvan stated thatCW Enerjiincreased its panel production capacity from 15 MegaWatt (MW) at the time of its establishment to 438 MW power by evaluating the demand in the domestic and foreign markets, and noted that the company has grown day by day with the new factory investments of 125 million liras with a cell production capacity of 1 GW solar panel and 500 MW cell production capacity per year.

Stating that they decided to build a new factory especially due to the increasing demand from abroad, Sarvan said: ‘Our new factory is about to be completed. It will start production in the third quarter of this year. We have commitments abroad, for which we are working day and night. We still have projects in the domestic and foreign markets. We export to 13 countries. In order to go abroad, we need to focus on large-scale products. Our new factory with a production capacity of 1 GW will be the largest in Europe. When you sit at the table abroad, the figures they want are 50, 100, 150 mw. They want this in a few months. We need to have a big body to deliver this product. Nobody sits and talks to you for 3-5 MW. Hopefully, with the new investment, we will support large investors abroad from Türkiye. With the new factory, we aim to increase the number of countries we export to approximately 40.’
