Sun Paradise; Elmalı

Volkan Yılmaz, General Manager of CW Enerji, underlined that Antalya is a city of sunshine and said that they call Elmalı district as ‘solar paradise’ due to its sunbathing time and cool, humidity-free weather.

Akdeniz University Elmalı Vocational High School Electrical and Electronics Department students and teachers visited CW Enerji, Türkiye's leading solar panel manufacturer, to get information about solar energy technology and production process.

Akdeniz University Elmalı Vocational High School (EMYO) Electrical and Electronics Department students and teachers visited CW Enerji, Türkiye's leading solar panel manufacturer. During the visit, CW Enerji General Manager Volkan Yılmaz gave information about photovoltaic technology, the production process of a photovoltaic panel, which materials are used, production line, purchasing, R&D, logistics, project, and factory operation.

CW Enerji General Manager Volkan Yılmaz gave detailed information to the students about photovoltaic solar systems, the production process of the photovoltaic panel and the materials used. Underlining that Antalya is a sun city, General Manager Volkan Yılmaz said, ‘Especially our Elmalı district is one of the areas we describe as a solar paradise. Because the sunbathing time is important for us, but it is even more important that the air is cool and as moisture-free as possible with the sun. As you know, Elmalı is a place with a lot of cold storages and we, as CW Enerji , have made serious investments in Elmalı in the field of photovoltaic solar energy. In Elmalı, many cold storages now generate 100% of their electricity from the sun, and they sell their surplus electricity and receive electricity money from the state every month. Photovoltaic solar energy systems are a very clean, almost maintenance-free, non-polluting energy production technology that does not pollute the environment and does not disrupt the texture of nature. Each solar energy panel has a 25-year performance guarantee and an average life expectancy of 50 years.’

CW Enerji General Manager Volkan Yılmaz reminded that he himself graduated from Akdeniz University Elmalı Vocational High School and expressed his happiness to host valuable teachers and students. Stating that they attach great importance to the cooperation between education and the sector, Volkan Yılmaz stated that the doors of CW Enerjiare always open to young people who are willing to learn and work. General Manager Volkan Yılmaz thanked Akdeniz University Elmalı Vocational High School Electrical and Electronics Department students and teachers for their visit.

Afterwards, the students had the chance to see the production process closely from start to finish with the factory tour. They were informed about every step of the process from the arrival of raw materials to the factory to the packaging of panels for shipment.

After the factory tour, the students visited the Döşemealtı 1069.2 kWp Solar Power Plant, which was installed by CW Enerji, and learnt the training they received in a practical way.
