Yilmaz, General Manager of solar panel manufacturer CW Enerji, reported that there is an opportunity to earn up to 800 liras per month with a 10 kilowatt mini solar power plant (GES) to be installed on the roofs of detached houses or workplaces.
Volkan Yılmaz, General Manager of CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, a solar panel manufacturer operating in the Organised Industrial Zone in Antalya, reported that there is an opportunity to earn up to 800 liras per month with a 10 kilowatt mini solar power plant (SPP) to be installed on the roofs of detached houses or workplaces.
Yılmaz said in a statement to AA correspondent that with the regulation published in the Official Gazette in January this year, the procedure for the implementation of roof-type SPP projects up to 10 kilowatts was simplified and the process regarding unlicensed production applications was accelerated.
Noting that there was a serious telephone traffic to the companies with the entry into force of the said legislation, Yılmaz said, ‘Upon this, we created a separate unit directorate related to SPP projects up to 10 kilowatts from our engineer friends.
Stating that people can make use of the empty square metres on their roofs with solar panels, and that they can both avoid paying electricity bills to distribution companies and generate income by selling their surplus electricity, Yılmaz said that all related transactions are carried out by the companies that will establish the SPP .
Explaining that there is a lot of demand especially from detached houses, Yılmaz said:
‘SPPswill become much more widespread in the coming years, especially in detached houses. It will become widespread not only in homes but also in small businesses. Anyone who wants to save up to 10 kilowatts can have this done. A 10 kilowatt system occupies an average of 70-80 square metres on the roof. In other words, the roof areas of detached houses are more than enough to make a 10-kilowatt SPP . From bureaucratic procedures to installation and acceptance period, a SPP installation takes a maximum of 4 months. It varies according to the type of SPP roof to be built. This investment amortises itself in an average of 5-6 years, but it should also be considered as follows; Even if you do not make this investment, you pay an average monthly electricity bill of 200-300 liras. Therefore, these investments have a saving side rather than amortising. You are already paying the electricity bill money that you will pay to the distribution company every month for this system by taking a loan from your bank. So there is nothing that shakes your economy extra. After 5-6 years, you own such a system. Our solar panels already have a 25-year performance guarantee and a life expectancy of 50-60 years.’
Pointing out that the electricity produced by SPPson the roofs will also get rid of the hikes in electricity, Yılmaz said, ‘According to the studies we have done, the electricity bill of a detached house of 150 square metres varies between 200-300 liras per month. A 10-kilowatt SPP currently provides a monthly return of 700-800 liras. In other words, an investor who invests in a 10-kilowatt SPP will offset the monthly electricity bill of 300 liras and will receive 500 liras as monthly income.’
Yılmaz also pointed out that SPPsare guaranteed by the state for 10 years and said, ‘The investor who invests inSPPs does not have any problems such as finding tenants and renovation costs due to usage. The only thing you need to make money is for the sun to rise.’
