-Ali Bahar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya Organised Industrial Zone, said that the future will be shaped in the hands of those who produce, process and own information. President Bahar said, ‘CW Enerji’s work full of pluses in terms of both environmental sensitivity and technology production is an important factor for the development of the sector as well as Antalya Organised Industrial Zone.’
-CWEnergy will provide employment for 2 thousand people with its new investment of 65 million.
Türkiye's first domestic production solar panel manufacturer CW Enerji Tic. and San. Ltd. Şti will employ 2 thousand people with its new investment of 65 million TL. Solar energy is of great importance for countries with its multi-dimensional positive effects on the economy. Another effect of green growth, which triggers a decrease in foreign dependence on energy, revival of investments and orientation towards technological development, is observed in labour markets. New employment opportunities are opening up with the implementation and dissemination of renewable energy systems. Türkiye's first domestic solar panel manufacturer CW Enerji Tic. ve San. Ltd. Şti. is one of these employment gates. CW Enerji will provide direct employment for 2 thousand people with its new investment of 65 million.
CW Enerji, which started its activities in thesolar power plants (SPP) production sector in Germany in 2001, has been operating in Antalya since 2010. CW Enerji, which has given a new impetus to the developing and rapidly growing SPP sector, carries out various projects for rooftop and land solar power plants, private, legal and public investors throughout Türkiye after the Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation became applicable.
Stating that they have the largest capacity photovoltaic (PV) solar panel production factory in Türkiye, Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CW Enerji , said: ‘We produce PV technology-based solar energy electricity generation systems (off-grid/on-grid), turnkey installation of these systems, wholesale and retail sales of all main products of the systems, GES engineering services and PV solar panel production, which is the basic element of solar power plants. In this way, there is no other company in Türkiye that can offer every element of the solar power generation system from A to Z.’
Tarık Sarvan said that they provide service in a total area of 12 thousand 90 square metres, 8 thousand of which is closed, consisting of a main factory building and a raw material-sold product warehouse and offices. Sarvan stated that they employ 600 people directly and one thousand people together with subcontractors. Stating that they are going to grow with their new investments of 65 million liras, Sarvan said, ‘At the beginning of 2018, we will move to our new factory in the Organised Industrial Zone 1st Section in 45 thousand square metres of industry 4.0 norms, including 25 thousand square metres of closed area. This means new employment opportunities for approximately 2 thousand people.’
Explaining that their investments will continue rapidly, Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, ‘Our main targets are to establish a solar cell production factory with a capacity of at least 500 MW/year by the end of 2018 and to provide direct employment for at least 800 people. In addition, a solar panel production line in the free zone, which we plan to start with 120 MW/year and increase up to 500 MW/year, is also included in our other plan.’
Mentioning that they are carrying out a series of studies to bring national technology products to Türkiye, Sarvan said:
‘CW Enerji has been carrying out serious R&D studies since 2013. We have carried out projects in cooperation with TÜBİTAK and universities in order to produce more efficient panels. Most recently, we designed roof tiles, which we call ‘the tile of the century’, with our R&D team. We will develop varieties of these tiles. We have now created trial versions and will introduce them to our people at the YAPEX Fair to be held in Antalya on 15 November. Crystalline panels from 5 W to 330 kWh were designed by our R&D team. We have started their production. We received the first order from the African market. In this way, we have nationalised our small panels. These were not produced in Türkiye, they were coming from abroad. We also cut the way for these. We produce one thousand small panels per day. Our goal is to produce more energy from our national technology, the sun, in less space, to increase the radiation rate from the sun and to get the energy that the world gets from 2 square metres with more efficient cells, from 1 square metre. Our R&Drelated to this continues. Our R&Don hybrid, off-gridd systems with facades continues. We will research these and introduce them to our people first, as in roof tiles, and then sell them to the world market. All of these are the momentum that CWEnergy's R&D team has brought to our country. We will continue to work to market our self-developed national technology to the world.’
Ali Bahar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya OIZ, who stated that they follow the work carried outby CW Enerji in the field ofR&D and innovation with appreciation and pride, said: ‘As the Antalya OIZ Management, it is our most basic principle to support, contribute and ensure the sustainability of the work carried out in the field of R&D and innovation. Because the future will be shaped in the hands of those who produce, process and own information. With our technology development zone, which is a result of this awareness, we believe that we will make significant contributions to the potential of all our future-oriented companies such as CW Enerji . CW Enerji's work, which is full of advantages in terms of both environmental awareness and technology production, is an important factor for the development of the sector as well as Antalya OIZ. It is a source of pride for us to meet with the companies of our region in the same vision, to join forces, to be known for such important works, and to be involved in initiatives that will provide added value to Antalya and our country. I would like to thank all CW Enerji employees under the supervision of Mr Sarvan for their contribution to our development and wish them continued success.’
