Ali Bahar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya OSB, celebrated the 8 March International Working Women's Day of approximately 5 thousand female employees working in the region by sending flowers. President Bahar visited CW Enerji company and presented the flowers to the women working in the company with his own hand.
Ali Bahar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya Organised Industrial Zone, did not leave the women working in the region alone on March 8, International Working Women's Day. Chairman Ali Bahar celebrated the International Women's Day of approximately 5 thousand women working in the region by sending red carnations. CW Enerji Müh. Tic. And San. Ltd. Şti. with his own hands, Bahar received many thanks from the women working in the company.
Before the distribution of flowers, Bahar made a speech to the women indicating the meaning and importance of the day and explained the historical process of celebrating 8 March as International Working Women's Day by reminding the painful event that occurred in 1857 and what happened afterwards. President Bahar stated that as the Board of Directors, they continue to work effectively to increase women's employment and to enable women to work in better conditions and conditions. Underlining that their aim is to employ more women in the region, Bahar said:
‘Because everything touched by your hands heals, beautifies and grows exponentially. Your taking an active role in production is of great importance in our economic growth, development and progress. You will shape the future of this country. The children you will raise will take over these duties, these offices and these factories from us in the future. It is in your hands to build a stronger and bigger Türkiye by raising a well-educated, enlightened and successful generation. Please advise your daughters to build a future with kind men who value them, who do not let them forget that they are human beings. Raise every male child to be polite to women. All children are the apple of our eyes. If we do not want someone to slap, abuse or flick our daughters, the apple of our eyes, we have to raise them to be self-confident. We have to raise them knowing what to demand. If we do not want our daughters or ourselves to be hit, we have to raise our boys by teaching them to treat women in the same way. I entrust this education to you because men cannot give education, women will give education. You will give the education.’
Stating that they distributed flowers to 5 thousand women working in the region within the scope of International Working Women's Day, Ali Bahar said, ‘We wanted to visit CW Enerji, which has 46 percent of its employees consisting of women labourers and contributes greatly to women's employment, under the auspices of Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and we wanted to give you flowers personally. Because CW Enerji deserves it very much with its contributions to women's employment and economy first in our region and then in Türkiye. You deserve this,’ he said.
Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors ofCW Enerji , thanked President Bahar for his valuable visit. Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CW Enerji , congratulated all women labourers, especially the company employees, on International Women's Day and emphasised that Türkiye needs to make progress in women's employment in order to strengthen its economy. Stating that they are proud to be a company that contributes to the employment of women, whose main duty in society is seen as childcare and housework, Sarvan stated that the number of employment figures with SSI, which was 102 in 2016, increased 5 and a half times and reached 542 in March 2018, while female employment increased to 249 and reached 46 percent. Tarık Sarvan, Chairman of the Board of Directors ofCW Enerji, stated that for the growth and development of Türkiye's economy, companies that value women's employment such as their own companies should increase.
